  4. Companion to the book "Trading on the Edge: Neural, Genetic, and Fuzzy Systems for Chaotic Financial Markets", published by John Wiley and Sons, Inc.

  6. This CD-ROM features:
  7. Ñ all software programs discussed in the book Trading on the Edge,
  8. Ñ a vast number of demo programs supplied by vendors,
  9. Ñ sample market data you can use to build financial applications,
  10. Ñ sample images on trading technology, and
  11. Ñ an overview of the performance of various trading systems.

  13. An extroadinary resource for more intelligent trading of Financial Markets!

  15. QuickStart:
  16. Mac: double click on the Trading.TWC file.
  17. DOS: change to your active drive to the CD-ROm by typing "D:"
  18.      (where D is the letter of your CD-ROM)
  19.      type "Trade" <enter>
  20. Windows: Install the program in d:\windows: twlitew.exe
  21.      or run the installer: D:\windows\install.exe from the
  22.      program manager.  Run TWliteW (TextWare) and DO "File"
  23.      "Open": "Trading on the Edge".

  26. Explore the folders/directories:
  27. Mac_Files (Macintosh)
  28. PC_Files (PC Compatible)
  29. Shared (Both Mac and PC)
  30.  
  31. They contain source code, demos, utilities, shareware, market data
  32. , and other financial resources.

  43. There may be files in the directories/folders that are .zip 
  44. or compacted files.  Thses are for your conveinence.  All the 
  45. files have been extracted/unzipped for use off the CD-ROM.

  47. However, some of the programs will need to be correctly 
  48. installed to work and thus will not execute off the CD-ROM.
  49.  
  50. The Trading on the Edge: Investment Navigator will be available soon.
  51. We will notify registered users on availability -- so register!
  52. The Investment Navigator should be available in July-August of 1994.
